Everyone knows what a skip is for: it's a robust container where waste can be collected for safe and easy removal. But before you hire a skip, the question which you'll need to ask yourself is what sort of project you're undertaking. The skip which is required for a small house clearance project is going to be vastly different from the sort of skip needed on a demolition site. Of course, we're the experts in skip hire. What type of skip?

If your current clearance requirements are essentially small - for example, if you're clearing out a home or a small office - you will probably need a mini skip. Sturdy, robust and with a surprisingly high capacity, a mini skip's small size makes it easier to place in a small area.

If on the other hand you're looking to high skips for a major industrial or building site, an 8 yard builder's skip is going to serve you much better. With a much great volume, an 8 yard skip will take longer to fill. Contact us to discuss your exact needs - some of the heaviest waste is not suitable for 8 yard skips (they have such large volumes they'd be impossible to move).

If your needs lie somewhere in between these two extremes, it might be worth hiring a midi skip. Not as large as the 8 yard skip, the midi skip still has a significant advantage in both size and volume over the mini skip.
